From Goldwater Girl To Hillary Girl

Townhall.com | Ann Coulter | Feb. 7, 2008

Nominating McCain is the gesture of a desperate party. Republicans are so shell-shocked and demoralized by the success of the Bush Derangement Syndrome, they think they can fool the voters by nominating an open-borders, anti-tax cut, anti-free speech, global-warming hysteric, pro-human experimentation “Republican.” Which is to say, a Democrat. Nothing Conservative About Voting for a Democrat

Townhall.com | Feb. 8, 2008

“(Don’t let) the perfect (be) the enemy of the good.” — Voltaire
I keep hearing conservatives say that if John McCain is the nominee — and barring a miracle, he will be at this point — that they’re going to sit out the election or even vote for the Democratic nominee because of “conservative principles.” [Read more…]

Investor’s Business Daily | Feb. 7, 2008

Media Spins Success in Afghanistan as Failure

American Thinker | Ray Robison | Feb. 8, 2008

American and Coalition forces have taken the initiative in Afghanistan, and have the Taliban on the run. Yet major American media outlets, to the extent they cover fighting in Afghanistan, are portraying the Taliban as “resurgent”. Going on the offense and succeeding at it always increases violence. But is being spun onto bad news. [Read more…]

World Council of Churches Faults Israel

FrontPage Mag | Mark D. Tooley | Feb. 7, 2008

In a remarkable January 22 letter, the head of the World Council of Churches (WCC) exclusively denounced Israel for the crisis in Gaza while avoiding all mention of Hamas’ misrule and its firing of Qassam rockets into Israeli border towns. Naturally, Kobia did not mention Egypt’s having joined Israel in its partial embargo against Gaza since Hamas’s June 2007 putsch there against the Palestinian Authority. [Read more…]
