Talking with some dear friends recently, I asked “What one thing would you do with your life if you knew you could not fail?” The answers were inspiring.  See if you find your life’s desire among them:

  • Start or buy a business
  • Build a wonderful family life
  • Stop human trafficking
  • Start my own conservative show
  • Cure cancer
  • Lead thousands of souls to Christ
  • Go part time in my high pressure corporate life to balance life with a consulting business in my field plus a part time business that builds my character even more
  • Disciple Christians to discover and participate in the life of the Body of Christ according to early Church doctrine
  • Become a professional writer
  • Enter full time pastoral care of others’ souls
  • Run a Christ centered school
  • Bring every member of the 25,000 denominations and nondenominational splits to experience the ONENESS we had for about 1000 years when Church was pre-denominational with one heart one mind one doctrine among the faithful
  • Remain faithful to Christ to the end at whatever the cost
  • Become a generous anonymous donor of money to worthy causes
  • Get men/women of integrity in the White House to lead our government
  • Bring Peace in Christ experienced by all people in every nation

What one thing would you do with your life if you knew you could not fail?

In The Gospel of Jesus Christ written down by inspiration of The Holy Spirit by the former Tax collector Matthew, Jesus revealed that “I am afraid” can cause us to become unproductive in the use of the talents God has given us. The whole story as told by Jesus goes like this:

“For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them. And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey.  Then he who had received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents.  And likewise he who had received two gained two more also.  But he who had received one went and dug in the ground, and hid his lord’s money.  After a long time the lord of those servants came and settled accounts with them.

“So he who had received five talents came and brought five other talents, saying, ‘Lord, you delivered to me five talents; look, I have gained five more talents besides them.’ His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’ He also who had received two talents came and said, ‘Lord, you delivered to me two talents; look, I have gained two more talents besides them.’ His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’

“Then he who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed. And I WAS AFRAID, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours.’

“But his lord answered and said to him, ‘You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed.  So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest.  So take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents.

‘For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away.  And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’ (25:14-30)

“Fear of God” in the Scriptures for the faithful is about reverence of God’s Power and Holiness in the context of Grace given by God of Love to all who will humbly receive Jesus.

Two of the three servants experienced great joy as they were praised by God for who they had become in being good and faithful servants of God with their abilities, money, opportunities and resources. If you live in our great country, the land of opportunity and freedom, are you allowing fear of the unknown, fear of what others might think of you, fear of failure or success, fear of public appearance, fear of a version of God unknown from the beginning of The Church, fear of pain, fear of the economy, or fear of Congress or the white house, keep you from becoming all you are meant to become?

“Fear of God” in the Scriptures for the faithful is about reverence of God’s Power and Holiness in the context of Grace given by God of Love to all who will humbly receive Jesus.  It is not about hiding our talents because of a wrong view of an evil God taught by some religions.

What thoughts and fears are keeping you from starting or achieving your goal, and moving forward?

What thoughts and fears are keeping you from starting or achieving your goal, and moving forward? Those who succeed and those who fail in life have the same fears, but the successful go forward with action despite their fears. Courage is not the absence of fear, but doing what is right despite one’s fears.

Who you are going to become as you move forward one step at a time despite your fears, is a wonderful person that’s ready to come out. Something inside of you (flesh) or someone working for the wrong side (the devil’s minions in the world) or a spiritual enemy (the devil) would like to keep you from succeeding, but you are made to be a success in God’s Kingdom starting now.

Success does not always mean great financial gains because the widow with 2 mites in her hand was more successful than all the rich men who were grudgingly and pompously giving a small part of their lives to God. She was committed to being the best she could be with what she had, by giving her heart and life to God above all else! Her sacrifice was a sweet aroma to God.

Success in God’s Kingdom is about growing from Grace to Grace in God’s Kingdom, and becoming all you are meant to be

Success in God’s Kingdom is about growing from Grace to Grace in God’s Kingdom, and becoming all you are meant to be, so the LORD can add unto you more of His Love and Grace and internal and eternal blessings. For some, that might mean to become a successful Martyr for Christ like we have seen for 2000 years starting with the first Martyr Stephen (Acts 7). For others, martyrdom is not their physical calling; but we can all die to self, die to our fears by asking God to strengthen us to do what is right even when we are afraid to take another step! For others, God might want to add to you the blessing of not only providing for your family, but for many other families as well. Jesus said to all: If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me.” (Luke 9:23)

Make your life’s decision now and start following God at all cost and ask God for Wisdom on what kind of person you must become to achieve what He has called you to do now. Success is not just about reaching for a goal, but it is about becoming all you are called to become in Christ. Your greatest accomplishments can start to come your way once you have become the person that is ready to receive the right blessings.

Success is not just about reaching for a goal, but it is about becoming all you are called to become in Christ.

If you want a job, but don’t have the skills to land an open job in the field you have your heart in, go out and get the skill. You are in America! Don’t let fear stop you. If you want a raise, become the person that is so valuable to your company that they will gladly pour out promotions your way cause you earned it long before they gave you the raise. I know labor unions might be upset to hear this, but start doing more than you are getting paid to do, and watch what happens to you inside, as you grow to become the person you are meant to become. Once you are that vital to your company, an employer who misses sharing the blessings will soon find his competition strengthened by the loss of a valuable person who gave their all. If you want to succeed in attracting more of the right clients to your business, start by becoming the business that has the highest quality and the optimal service with the right communication message that attracts the right client to your business now, rather than wait till you are “successful” to have your company become what it was meant to become.

It all starts with you right now! Decide what one thing would you do with your life if you knew you could not fail, and start taking small steps immediately towards becoming  all you are meant to become. Don’t  let fear rob you of your joy that awaits you when God reveals to your heart the most wonderful words we are all wanting to hear from God: “Well done my good and faithful servant”!
