Mississippi’s voter situation is hard to believe. Places like Madison County have over 123% more registered voters than people over the age of 18.
Sue Sautermeister, First District Election Commissioner in Madison County, tried to purge the rolls, but ran into trouble when it was discovered it takes a vote of three of the five election commissioners and the purge cannot take place within 90 days of a federal election.
Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann is the first to admit the situation with voter registration in this state is terrible.
“It is terrible,” he says. “Combined with the fact that we don’t have voter ID in Mississippi, anybody can show up at any poll that happens to know the people who have left town or died — and go vote for them.”
“Whenever we have a third party determined by payment, for example, as they did in Benton County — ‘walking-around’ money — and they determine what that vote is going to be, they’ve taken your vote, whether they may have voted like you would have or not, they’ve still thwarted the process and they’ve still have taken your vote away from you,” added Hosemann.
Sue Sautermeister is working hard in the First District of Madison County to start a purging of the voter rolls as soon after the election as possible. She has file drawers full of names of people who haven’t voted in years and are known to be dead.
“We have people who registered in 1965 who have never voted,” she says. “We have 486 people (registered who are) over 105.”
Hosemann says 190,000 new voters have registered for this election and he believes the turnout will be historic.

Wait a minute. There is absolutely NOTHING in this article to indicate that the condition of the voter rolls in Madison County Mississippi has anything at all to do with Democrats, leftists, or anything else.
In fact, if you do 1 minute of research on the web, you’ll find that the results of the “August 7, 2007 Primary Election” in this county show that 6,261 people voted in the Democratic race for governor, and 14,108 people voted in the Republican race for governor. In other words, more than twice as many people voted in the Republican race as voted in the Democratic race.

In addition, if you look at the sample ballot for the next week’s general election, you’ll see that three of the seats on the elections commission are filled by Republicans, one seat by an independent, and the Democratic incumbent is being challenged by a Republican for the fifth seat.
So this is a county in which people vote Republican by more than a two to one margin, the elections commissioners are largely Republican, and yet you guys conclude that the evil Democrats are to blame for the voter rolls, based on an article that never once mentions the word “Democrat” or “Republican.”

You thought we’ve forgotten, ey? Not at all. During the Mississippi Democratic Primaries, Barack Obama won 265,502 votes in Mississippi, an amount equal to 61.2% of the total votes cast. Hillary came in a very distant second with 36.7% of the vote, the other candidates split the difference.
Well, when something seems too good to be true, it usually is, and reports coming out of the state provide us with the following ultra-amazing information:

Chris, there is no story here. The PUMA pundit thing is an attempt to “connect the dots.” But there is no connection. Yes, Obama won by a wide margin in Madison County. Well, he won by a wide margin in many, but not all, Mississippi counties. As did John McCain, who ended up with around 80 percent of the vote statewide.
So PUMA Pundit says Obama won by a large margin in Madison County. Voter rolls are badly outdated in Madison County. Therefore, Obama supporters must have cheated. Of course, there is no evidence of voter fraud. The article talks about “vote buying” in Benton County, but there is no evidence of that either; in fact Hillary Clinton won in that county.
The Secretary of State in Mississippi says that the state of voter registration in Mississippi is terrible. Well, why doesn’t he fix it? Supervising elections is part of what the Secretary of State does — and this Secretary of State happens to be a Republican.
Again, no story here, except that the elections commission in Madison County — largely Republicans — have failed to maintain accurate voter rolls. And when one commissioner tried to purge the voter rolls, she didn’t follow proper procedure. Beyond that there is nothing — not one single case of identified voter fraud.
Come on Jim, you are being naive or purposely avoiding the reality of the leftist machine working to destroy freedom and the democratic process. When even liberal Democrats raise alarm bells about voter fraud and you still excuse it away it’s pathetic.
The reason there’s no “official” evidence is because, as the article stated, the officials have FAILED to investigate any of this. Had it been the other party at issue the ACLU, the radical leftists, and Obama’s lawyer minions would be starting a revolution in Mississippi. But with 123% registration in that county are you telling me the Obamatons had nothing to do with it. Right! Get real! It’s useful idiots like you that keep helping the totalitarian and radical leftist like Obama to have free reign and play our democratic system and all of America for fools. No more than the McCainatrons. One of the things I do for a living is to work with databases, typically Oracle-based. In fact I’m currently working with a database of around a million people, and it’s a rat’s nest.
Voter registrations are basically a database. The problem with databases of names and addresses is that they go out of date very quickly. You could have a perfect voter registration database in Madison County Mississippi, and an hour later it would have errors. Someone would die, or move, or some woman would get married and change her name, or someone would move to a different address, or whatever.
When databases are not maintained for years you end up with a lot of garbage, and it can be very difficult to clean up. People move out of the county or die but their voter records are not deleted. Other people move in, and their records are added. After a few years you can end up with more records than people. Yes, it’s a problem and it needs to be fixed, but it doesn’t mean that there is massive fraud going on.

I’m not excusing anything. I am simply rejecting your theory. Liberal Democrats can be wrong about voter fraud. In general I don’t find conspiratorial theories very convincing. I suppose they make for exciting blog posts, but they are rarely backed up with any hard evidence. As the article noted there are people, “who registered in 1965 who have never voted.” I suppose it’s possible that Obama supporters have been able to travel back through time in order to register fake voters, but I prefer the simpler explanation that the county has done a poor job of maintaining voter registrations. Since the Secretary of State of Mississippi is a Republican, and most of the Madison County election commissioners are Republicans, I suggest that you contact them and request that they start doing their jobs.

Jim, Enough of the snow job already. You know full well that ACORN (a radical leftist organization of the Democrats) has engaged in many fradulent activities with Obama’s blessing and tacit approval. Here’s a brief recap:
